5 Tips To Get Your Grades Back On Track

There are countless ways to get better grades, but it depends on what type of person you are, or what situation you're in.Some things might work for you and not for others, so here is a short list of things that might do the trick, or at least help a little bit for an assignment that's due soon.

Take some time off. I know what it's like to over work yourself. You make a bigger deal out of something, get too stressed out, and eventually burn out. So, I recommend allowing yourself to take breaks so you'll be revived when you get back to it.

Don't look at it as a competition . Don't worry about how everyone around you is doing; if there are a lot of people around you that are excelling, you might feel like you're not good enough. This may lead to low self-esteem, and it's something I struggled with. I'd get so caught up in trying to get to the top that I didn't realize I was falling down. So don't worry about anyone else but YOU.

Be one step ahead. If you always find you're lost and one particular class is moving too fast, try planning ahead. Once I tried making an outline for class; I'd write down the notes while in class and used it as a guide to help me study. Also, I'd look at the next chapter and get a head start.

Don't worry about neatness. There's nothing wrong with being organized, but some people obsess over taking neat notes rather than actually learning. As long as your absorbing the information, your notebook doesn't have to be spotless.

Last minute. Here are a few things that might help get your grade up just in time. 1.) Stay after school or ask for any sort of extra credit 2.) Don't miss anything- and if you do ask someone else for help 3.) Again, don't overwork yourself. This might seem impossible,  but breaking up your work into little parts might make it more achievable

I hope this helped in any way, and remember: slacking doesn't mean you're dumb, it just means you haven't found the right method.
